“Good Neighbor” – The Minneapolis Star Journal and Tribune (1944)

A movie that personifies the Minneapolis Star Journal and Tribune (founded in 1867 and still in business) as a “good neighbor”. The best thing about this video is the absolutely fascinating account of the “new technology” of the time (1944) and the paper’s production methods. Includes a fascinating account of photographic wire transfer (an early precursor to fax) about 6 mins in.
